Open Mic Night, Sponsored by the English Department

About this event

This fall, the UND English Department is excited to host two Open Mic Nights, in-person! This semester, our Open Mic Nights will be held at the Chester Fritz Library, in Room 225 (the Reading Room)! Light snacks will be provided. The evening is free and open to all.

All current UND students are welcome to attend and share their original work. We welcome short performances of poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, monologues or scenes, songs, and more. (We only ask that you keep your performance short—about 5–7 minutes—so that everyone has a chance to share!) Or, just join us and celebrate the work of your fellow UND writers and artists.

Our first Open Mic Night of the fall semester will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 15, from 7 to 8 p.m. The event is open to all. We'll have a reading sign-up sheet at the event; no pre-registration is required.

The English Department would like to thank the Chester Fritz Library for providing us with a venue for our Open Mic Nights this semester! We look forward to welcoming everyone to our Open Mic Nights—and to hearing the brilliant creative work of our UND student writers and artists!
