About this event
John Reiten returns to North Dakota for the Eye of the Hawk Lecture Series.
John Reiten serves as Special Assistant to the President and Deputy Executive Director of the National Energy Dominance Council. He advances the President’s energy dominance agenda to ensure reliable, secure, and affordable energy. His work focuses on strengthening U.S. energy security, expanding domestic production, and reinforcing American leadership in global energy markets.
Previously, Reiten served as Senior Policy Advisor to North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum, leading the Governor’s energy, water, agriculture, and tribal relations portfolios. He developed and implemented policy, legislative, regulatory, and budget initiatives across a broad range of energy and natural resource issues. His work included developing several billion dollars in water infrastructure investments, establishing hundreds of millions of dollars in energy grant and loan programs, negotiating five tribal-state gaming compacts, and coordinating North Dakota’s response to major federal energy and land management regulations.
Prior to joining the Governor’s office, Reiten worked on gubernatorial and attorney general campaigns in Minnesota and served in the North Dakota Senate Majority Leader’s Office.
