Supporting Clean Water Initiatives in Rural Communities

East Grand Forks City Council is deliberating support for the West Central Regional Water District, aimed at providing clean drinking water to rural areas in Polk, Norman, and Clay counties. The new water district, still in formation, seeks to address arsenic, iron, and manganese contaminations in the region. By partnering, communities hope to mitigate the financial strain of updating old infrastructure and overcome staffing shortages. Ex-Officer Sues for Gender Discrimination in Grand Forks

Carrie Sell, a former police officer in Grand Forks, has filed a lawsuit against the city, its police department, and several officers, including the former chief, alleging gender discrimination and retaliation following her termination.
