- ➤ UND launched its Data Skills Pathway program on Jan. 1 to train undergraduates in analysis, visualization, programming and communication for data-driven careers. The short-term program received nearly $1.6 million from the U.S. Education Department and is led by Atmospheric Sciences professors (including David Delene and Marwa Majdi). Knox News Radio

- ➤ Grand Forks City Council will review a rezoning proposal next week to let Midwest Ventures and Crary Real Estate turn the nearly decade-empty former Macy’s at Columbia Mall into commercial and storage space + spark broader development for the area. Valley News Live
