EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ UND’s John D. Odegard School of Aerospace Sciences has long trained pilots to manage spatial disorientation, and the FAA now recommends including this training for general aviation and charter operations — a move that spotlights an essential safety step. Knox News Radio
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Federal funds in the 2026 budget will give Grand Forks aerospace a boost with over $100 million planned. The package includes $50 million for satellite work at the Air Force Base, $33 million for drone research, plus $22 million for local protective coatings. Knox News Radio
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ North Dakota Health and Human Services reported measles cases in Pembina County, where five cases occurred (three adults, one child, one teen), and listed 23 exposure sites in areas including Grand Forks and Fargo from Feb. 4-11; director Molly Howell warned that more cases may occur.
