- ➤ The Greater Grand Forks Sertoma Club honored Freedom Week winners Tuesday at Eagles Crest Grill. Sana Nur of South Point Elementary won first, Amina Heieie of Discovery Elementary was second, and Goziem Igboamalu of Kelly Elementary took third (Grand Forks Mayor Bochenski and East Grand Forks Mayor Olstad attended). SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Grand Forks Central and Grand Forks Red River both scored 8-1 in quarterfinal wins at Purpur Arena Tuesday, moving them to Friday night's semifinals - Central will play Fargo Shanley and Red River will face Fargo Davies. Knox News Radio
- ➤ Knightriders hockey is in second place and will play at West Fargo United today before heading to Jamestown next week to close out the season. The team won 13 of its last 14 games and leads Legacy-Bismarck by one point. Knox News Radio
- ➤ East Grand Forks and Warroad advanced to the Section 8A hockey semifinals after winning their Tuesday quarterfinal games. East Grand Forks beat Red Lake Falls 8—2 and Warroad won 16—0; Detroit Lakes and Thief River Falls are set to face them in Saturday's tournament. Knox News Radio
