North Dakota high schools are meeting policy goals for student learning, including earning credit for apprenticeships and dual enrollment, according to a national report by the XQ Institute.

The state is one of 10 adopting six reforms that help students earn college credit while still in high school.

UND’s Early Career Scholars Program marked a record at its annual ceremony held at the new UND Core Technology Services building where faculty, scholars, and mentors celebrated past achievements and welcomed the incoming 2026 group while emphasizing cross-disciplinary collaboration in research.
