Rydell Cars announced that they selected CVIC to receive all funds at the 20th Annual Car and Bike Show on Sept.
20 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Since 2007 the show has raised over $1.2 million + will match contributions up to $40,000 for violence prevention.
Professor Sebastian Felix Braun has released a new book that shows the Bakken oil boom’s impact on communities, culture and the land, based on 15-year research.
It is published by The Digital Press at UND.
The North Sargent School Board held a meeting yesterday — reviewing a community survey where 194 out of 269 respondents supported equally splitting athletic co-op costs among North Sargent, Milnor and Sargent Central.
The board will meet again on Monday, Mar. 16 at 5 p.m. to continue discussions on the co-op’s future.
East Grand Forks City Council will consider flying an older Minnesota flag at a work session next Tuesday and vote next week; Council member Tim Riopelle said many residents requested the change—the design shows a white eight-pointed star on a dark blue field with a light blue border.
The Grand Forks Planning and Zoning Commission approved new driveway access for Agristo’s potato processing plant north of 27th Avenue North.
The change lets the company expand operations and improve facility functionality.
KNOX is hosting the College Basketball Bracket Challenge where participants fill out brackets for prizes including $500 cash for the highest overall score and $50 gift cards from See Dick Run + Bonzer’s Sandwich Pub for round winners.
The contest wraps up after the final game on Apr. 6.
