- ➤ Imelda Mashalia traveled from Kenya to join UND’s Applied Economics & Predictive Analytics program after discovering it was one of two nationwide that offered both economics & data analytics. She said the program challenges her and feels like home. Knox News Radio
- ➤ UND won a higher education award for its Military Connected Community initiative that supports military students and brings national speakers and military industry leaders (including Brig. Gen. Jackie Huber) to campus, director Angie Carpenter said. Knox News Radio

- ➤ Altru, Safe Kids Grand Forks and partners host a medication take back event Tuesday, March 17, 10:30 a.m.—12:30 p.m. in the parking lot near Perkins on Columbia Road—part of National Poison Prevention Week, the event collects unused meds and pet medications with safe storage tips. - ➤ UND’s Aerospace Physiology department now offers a three-hour motion sickness desensitization course available to anyone from the region; the program (used successfully with students and flight instructors) costs $400 and uses a spatial disorientation trainer. Valley News Live
