- ➤ A 45-year-old man from Grand Forks lost control on a patch of ice near milepost 87 on Highway 32 on March 23 at 6:18 p.m.-he hit a tree and was taken by Barnes County Ambulance before being airlifted to Fargo by Sanford AirMed. Valley News Live

- ➤ The prosecution wrapped its case in Grand Forks County Court in the Nicole Rice murder trial — police allege that Rice stabbed 18-year-old Anita Knutson twice in the chest during a staged break-in at an off-campus apartment in 2007 and was arrested in 2022. Knox News Radio

- ➤ North Dakota lawmakers are debating House Bill 1382 that would raise the gas tax by 3 cents per gallon and increase electric vehicle registration fees to fund local road improvements—supporters say the new rates would still be lower than those in neighboring states. Knox News Radio
- ➤ North Dakota senators passed a bill that caps monthly out‐of‐pocket insulin and supply costs at $25 — the measure will take effect within six months. Valley News Live
- ➤ North Dakota Attorney General Drew Wrigley supports Senate Bill 2128, known as the truth-in-sentencing bill, saying inmates are released too quickly. The Senate passed the bill 28—18 despite warnings that longer sentences will limit access to treatment and education while adding an estimated cost of $22.7 million this biennium and $21.3 million next.
