A 45-year-old man from Grand Forks lost control on a patch of ice near milepost 87 on Highway 32 on March 23 at 6:18 p.m.-he hit a tree and was taken by Barnes County Ambulance before being airlifted to Fargo by Sanford AirMed.

The prosecution wrapped its case in Grand Forks County Court in the Nicole Rice murder trial — police allege that Rice stabbed 18-year-old Anita Knutson twice in the chest during a staged break-in at an off-campus apartment in 2007 and was arrested in 2022.
