- ➤ Two Grand Forks teens have had their cases transferred to adult criminal court—facing 13 charges including attempted murder after allegedly shooting at an occupied vehicle on January 3rd. Knox News Radio
- ➤ Joshua Temple, 41, was sentenced to five years in prison for endangering and terrorizing his wife during her 2022 cancer battle—she died a month after reporting the abuse on May 6 and he must complete two years of supervised probation along with domestic violence and mental health assessments. - ➤ Today, the North Dakota House voted against Senate Bill 2035—this bill would have changed which groups can run charitable gambling and would have excluded clubs benefiting their officers while letting those that support convention centers or visitor bureaus continue operating gaming sites—and it was defeated by an 87-4 vote after the Education Committee urged against it. - ➤ Grand Forks Public Works Director Sharon Lipsh said the city is considering buying a shredder for the landfill — a move that could lower shredding costs from over $30.00 a ton to about $3.00 a ton — to process tires, palettes, woody debris and mattresses while avoiding expensive third-party contracts.
