Governor Armstrong signed a property tax relief package on May 3 to help primary homeowners by raising their tax credit from $500 to $1,600 using Legacy Fund earnings, and the House approved the measure by a vote of eighty-six to four while the Senate passed it by a vote of forty-six to zero—this package is projected to cost $409 million during the biennium.
🏥 Health
An unvaccinated child from Williams County has been diagnosed with measles—North Dakota’s first case since 2011—with HHS saying the illness likely came from an out‑of‑state visitor.
The child is isolating at home as HHS contacts those who may have been exposed and advises unvaccinated people to quarantine.
