- ➤ The Grand Forks Fire Department said no residents were displaced after a cooking fire in a home on the 1700 block of 9th Ave N—residents had already doused the flames with a garden hose, and all occupants and pets were safe while fire crews noted kitchen damage and minor smoke damage on the main floor and urged everyone to never leave cooking unattended.
