ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Boden, a Shanley graduate, fell off a golf cart on May 10 and was found unresponsive before receiving emergency surgery for a brain bleed at an Omaha hospital, and he is now sedated on a ventilator while his family asks for community prayers.  Valley News Live

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Crews will close the Columbia Road Overpass from the exit ramps to Demers Ave. and 2nd Ave. N. on Monday, May 19 to lift the entire deck for bearing replacement. Detour signs will be posted — the overpass will remain closed until the end of October, weather permitting.  Knox News Radio
  • Two North Dakota judges ruled today that lawsuits by landowners against Summit Carbon Solutions will move forward—despite Summit arguing that parties were not properly notified and that the cases were filed in the wrong court. The Iowa-based company plans to build pipelines to transport carbon dioxide from ethanol plants to underground storage sites in western North Dakota.  Knox News Radio
  • Today, community members will gather at the Northern Valley Law Enforcement Memorial in Optimist Park (4601 Cherry St.) to honor fallen law enforcement officers from the Northern Red River Valley at the 13th Annual Northern Valley Police Week Memorial Service. Local, state, and federal agencies including the US Air Force and RCMP will be present to pay tribute.  Knox News Radio

SPORTS NEWS

  • Fargo-Moorhead wrapped up a 5-1 homestand by sweeping the Kane County Cougars and winning two of three from Sioux Falls, with Dillon Thomas’s two-run home run making a key impact—Manager Chris Coste noted the team's strong bullpen performance. The team will hit the road to face Lake Country Friday through Sunday before hosting the Chicago Dogs on Tuesday.  Valley News Live
