CRIME NEWS

  • Video surveillance caught two individuals stealing donations from St. Joe’s Thrift Store on May 12 in the early morning, and Mickey Munson said the store now advises donors to drop off items during operating hours (the store has added a fence, safeguards, and security cameras to help prevent such incidents).  Valley News Live
  • The North Dakota Highway Patrol warns that scammers using area code 701—whose caller ID may show 'N Dakota Chapt'—are falsely claiming to call for money and advises residents to hang up immediately if contacted.  Valley News Live

SPORTS NEWS

  • Taylor Hodny and Alexia Giannopoulos each scored one goal and provided one assist as Red River won two to one over Central on Tuesday, securing an undefeated record of twelve wins, zero losses and two draws and possession of the Cushman Cup in the Eastern Dakota Conference finale. Both teams will advance to the state tournament next week with Red River as the top seed.  Knox News Radio
