ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A Grand Forks teen was seriously hurt in a fiery crash just after 6:00 p.m. on May 22 at the intersection of 32nd Ave S. and S. 31st St when his motorcycle hit a pickup truck making a left turn+ both vehicles caught fire while police investigate the incident, noting the 48-year-old pickup driver from Mesa, AZ was not hurt. - ➤ A Grand Forks man—43-year-old Stephen Lang—was arrested on drug charges after police stopped him on Interstate-29 near Thompson and found multiple drugs, two firearms and nearly $15,000 in cash, authorities said. Knox News Radio

- ➤ Governor Kelly Armstrong said his veto of a $150,000 budget item for a tribal homelessness liaison was a mistake—this action also cut $35 million meant for housing needs. He said he plans to call the legislature back to fix the funding error. Valley News Live

- ➤ North Dakota State Superintendent of Public Instruction Kirsten Baesler’s nomination to be assistant secretary of elementary and secondary education advanced to full Senate after a 12 to 11 party-line vote by the Senate HELP Committee.
