EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ MHA Nation joined a coalition of 70+ organizations supporting Together for School Meals to provide free breakfast and lunch for every student. The measure will appear on the November 3 ballot as the campaign builds statewide support. Valley News Live
- ➤ The UND School of Law will receive a $3.6 million upgrade to modernize classrooms and offices and address deferred maintenance, aiming to support rising enrollment as project plans are reviewed by the North Dakota Board of Higher Education today. Knox News Radio
- ➤ The school board filled two admin roles last night + Ryan Gatzke was named Interim Business Manager with a prorated contract and Dr. Darin Walters became the new Principal at Red River High School after a competitive review. Knox News Radio
- ➤ Grand Forks Public Schools is bringing back a $525 bus fee for general education students for the 2026 to 2027 school year, while funding help is available for qualifying families. More details on payment procedures will be shared as plans are finalized. Valley News Live

- ➤ City council preliminarily approved a five-year 100% PILOT and eight-year Renaissance Zone incentive for the Beacon project’s third building that will add 87 residential units while rejecting a 5.8 million dollar plaza funding request.
