EDUCATION NEWS

  • Northland Community and Technical College in East Grand Forks will add a composites manufacturing training program—funded by a $215,000 grant—to offer weeklong sessions in mid-July; the program is open to those 16 and older.  Knox News Radio
  • Wall’s Medicine Center is hosting its Salute to Seniors Photo Contest today to help graduating seniors pay for textbooks. Graduates can submit their favorite graduation photo for a chance to win $250 (cash prize) to support their college expenses.  Knox News Radio

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Grand Forks sales tax collections grew in May, netting over $2.8 million mostly from March sales — pushing the year-to-date total to nearly $14.9 million and marking a 5.76% increase from last year while restaurant and lodging sales rose 1.26% in 2026.  Knox News Radio

  • The Roughriders lost 3-2 to Bismarck Legacy in the state high school tennis tournament quarterfinal on Thursday, and Red River will face West Fargo Sheyenne in the consolation semifinals.  Knox News Radio
