  • Valley Middle School demolition is nearly done as crews are expected to complete work by next week; officials said restoration will then start with new fields (football, soccer, softball) planned on the site. The $549,000 project is funded from a $79 million referendum.  Knox News Radio

  • Red River showed strong performance in the state girls soccer tournament by defeating Minot North 4-0 in Bismarck on Thursday. They will next face Mandan — Fargo Shanley and West Fargo Sheyenne also advanced to the semi-finals.  Knox News Radio
  • Former NDSU teammates Peter Brookshaw and Parker Harm continue their baseball journey with the local RedHawks in Fargo and aim to help the team break its recent championship drought. They carry decades of hometown pride plus a lifelong passion for baseball instilled by their dads.  Valley News Live
  • Fargo Marathon weekend sees Fergus Falls dad Andy Price and his 8-year-old daughter Paislee, who was born with a rare genetic disorder, take on their fourth half marathon together; they plan to let her walk the final half-mile if she is up for it.  Valley News Live
