A Grand Forks man was hurt in a motorcycle crash on Tomahawk Road in Lake County when he reportedly passed out and drove into a ditch—Robert Martin, 76, is now being treated at a Duluth hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

A new North Dakota law will require pornography websites to verify users' age by August 1—sites with over 33% sexual content must use a verification system to help protect children from harmful material.

Families can sue non-compliant sites and a pending Supreme Court case may challenge the law.

The Grand Forks Police Department will undergo a site-based assessment by CALEA assessors starting Monday, June 9—this review will cover areas such as patrol, investigations, and training as part of a voluntary effort to secure its fourth accreditation.

Previous awards were received in 2014, 2017, and 2021.
