North Dakota will open Pembina Gorge State Park on Tuesday, June 9 for camping and OHV activities.

The park, northwest of Walhalla and near Grand Forks, offers large camping pads and an extensive trail system for hiking and snowmobiling—the official opening ceremony has been postponed with the date kept.

Red River’s athletes earned All-State honors when the North Dakota High School Activities Association named Alex Seaver to the Class A baseball team and Jocelyn Berg + Ella Speidel to the Class A softball team this week.

Berg also committed to play collegiate softball at the University of Alabama-Birmingham.

The NCAA disciplined UND football for tampering violations after assistant Travis Stepps communicated with a student-athlete enrolled at another school - head coach Eric Schmidt was held accountable, and the team faces probation, a $25,000 fine, recruiting bans, and a game suspension for Stepps during the 2026 season.
