EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Grand Forks and East Grand Forks Chamber will host an AP Business Principles/Personal Finance Presentation on Thursday, June 12 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM in the Chamber Board Room with a virtual option available—attendees registering in person by June 11 receive a free box lunch. Knox News Radio
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The demolition of the old Altru Hospital in Grand Forks is 50% complete and officials expect the vertical structure to be wrapped up by the end of July - work will then shift to the basement and the removal of remaining materials. The new lot is expected to open by the end of the year. Valley News Live
REAL ESTATE NEWS
- ➤ Dakota Commercial Real Estate plans a five-acre apartment complex near the Icon Sports Center on 47th Avenue South—construction will begin in 2027 and finish in 2029 with about 150 apartment units and 10,000 square feet of commercial space in a five-story building. Knox News Radio

- ➤ Former Warroad and UND Hockey star T.J. Oshie announced his retirement from the National Hockey League on June 9, ending a 16-year career featuring over 1,000 regular season games — he spent much of his final season on long-term injured reserve due to a chronic back injury. Valley News Live
