- ➤ A mural at the state School for the Blind in Grand Forks is sparking controversy as its rainbow design is viewed as politically motivated and is said to violate a city ordinance that bans such art from facing residential neighborhoods (it faces Sixth Avenue and nearby homes). The Planning and Zoning Commission will review the issue on July 9th. Knox News Radio
- ➤ A severe storm last weekend east of Enderlin damaged farmers’ grain bins, crop storage, and irrigation systems, leaving many with little capacity for the upcoming harvest. The North Dakota Industrial Commission is researching ways to aid the affected farms — Agricultural Commissioner Doug Goehring said the damage could lead to a loss of tens of millions of bushels.
