- ➤ A Barnes County man named William Smith was arrested in Oriska on terrorizing charges after a woman reported he threatened to shoot her ex-husband and caused a scene by throwing a wedding ring at her car, blocking her exit with a shelf, and grabbing keys — Smith denies the shooting threat and faces charges including DUI, theft, and drug offenses. - ➤ Grand Forks Mayor Brandon Bochenski broke ground for the Altru Sports Complex Friday morning near the Alerus Center — the new facility will have indoor turf and aquatic services and is expected to be fully operational by fall 2027.
