On July 25, a charity motorcycle ride honoring six-year-old Katarina Louthain will launch at Turtle River State Park in Arvilla.

Registration starts at 9 a.m. and the ride departs at 10:30 a.m. while proceeds support the Justice for Katarina campaign for safe driving.

Early Saturday morning, Emerado firefighters responded at 1:13 a.m. to a barn built around 1905 that caught fire on its second story — units from Grand Forks Air Force Base and Larimore helped battle the blaze for more than four hours with no one hurt.

The Grand Forks Region EDC announced its 2026-2029 strategic plan today, aiming to add 600 jobs, boost wage growth by 15%, and deliver $1B in capital expenditures + $45M in property tax revenue.
