- ➤ Rick and Connie Whittier from Lidgerwood have had their 108 fish decoys chosen for a Smithsonian exhibit celebrating America’s 250th birthday. They will travel to Washington, D.C. this fall for a meet and greet—then return in the spring for a decoy-making demonstration as the exhibit runs from August 22nd through September 7th. - ➤ NDHP Trooper Brandon Wade, a University of North Dakota graduate, was named the 2024 Trooper of the Year by the North Dakota Motor Carriers Association. He served in Motor Carrier Operations since graduating from the NDHP Academy in 2009—working in Devils Lake until 2018 and transferring to Jamestown in 2019, he completed 730 commercial vehicle inspections in 2024.
