The Grand Forks Senior Center merged its Home Delivered Meals program into its Meals on Wheels program to streamline operations and enhance meal delivery for homebound seniors.

All meals are now prepared at the center — replacing the previous setup at Altru Hospital.

A Grand Forks man waived his preliminary hearing this week and pleaded not guilty to felony kidnapping, robbery and terrorizing charges from an April incident in which he allegedly abducted a man from a grocery store parking lot and forced him at gunpoint into his vehicle to drive to the Grand Forks Islamic Center+ police detained him when he left the building.

North Dakota Housing Finance Agency announced the selection of 2025 recipients for the Emergency Solutions Grant and North Dakota Homeless Grant to help people facing homelessness.

The funds will support essential services and work to provide stable housing in local communities.

North Dakota Gov. Kelly Armstrong voiced concerns Monday that an Ethics Commission advisory opinion lets public officials use campaign money for child care or security if the need is linked to their service + he argued such decisions should be debated and voted on by the Legislature.

On July 14th, local officials and community members honored fallen officer Jake Wallin two years after his death—paying tribute to his service and legacy.
