Governor Kelly Armstrong has appointed Altru President Dr. Joshua Deere to the State Board of Higher Education for a four-year term.
Deere, who has over a decade of family medicine experience and has led the hospital since 2022, joins two others on the board representing business and education.

Travelers flying out of Fargo could soon take alcohol beyond the bar at Hector International Airport after the Liquor Control Board passed a motion to secure a new Class A license.
The City Commission will review details from Sky Dine + airport officials to set serving hours and concourse monitoring.

Grand Forks Royals staged a thrilling rally in doubleheader games on Tuesday night.
They scored five runs in the bottom of the seventh to win the first game 5-4 and five in the second game's bottom to win 5-3, keeping their top-four playoff hopes alive.
