GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The mural at the School for the Blind in Grand Forks was set for discussion by City Council on Monday but will be delayed—Mayor Brandon Bochenski and City Attorney Dan Gaustad are consulting with the state attorney general's office to clarify legal standards.  Knox News Radio
  • City council voted to begin talks with the County Commission, School Board and Northridge Construction over a tax incentive plan for a new apartment complex. The plan—called a Payment in Lieu of Taxes—offers full tax relief for five years followed by reduced rates over the next ten years, and officials will negotiate new terms with the boards.  Knox News Radio
  • Railroad crews will close Gateway Drive, Highway 2 at the rail crossing between Washington St. and Mill Road on Monday, July 28—detour signs will be posted and repairs will be made, with the closure expected to last one week weather permitting.  Knox News Radio

HEALTH NEWS

  • The North Dakota Legislature passed bills that change the state’s medical marijuana program to let patients buy low-dose THC edible lozenges in a square shape—these changes will go into effect Aug. 1st and allow patients more time before they have to renew their cards.  Knox News Radio
