- ➤ The Northlands Rescue Mission food pantry in Grand Forks will temporarily close on August 8 due to nearly empty shelves caused by funding cuts and supply chain issues. The Mission will continue serving hot meals and stockpiling supplies—while families temporarily lose access to their monthly food boxes—until the pantry reopens. Knox News Radio

- ➤ North Dakota Mill in Grand Forks reported record profits for fiscal year 2025 at more than $26 million, up 28 percent from last year's $20.7 million. More than half of the profit went to the state general fund, and the Industrial Commission—composed of Governor Kelly Armstrong, Attorney General Drew Wrigley and Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring—oversaw the mill's operations. - ➤ Following House Bill 1079, the North Dakota Department of Emergency Services renamed two divisions—its Homeland Security division is now the Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management and State Radio is now the State Emergency Communications Center. - ➤ South 20th Street in Grand Forks will be closed just south of the 11th Avenue South intersection starting on Monday, August 4th for crews to install a storm water line under the road — detour signs will be posted and the closure is projected to last 3 weeks weather permitting. Knox News Radio
