U.S. Border Patrol in Grand Forks arrested eight illegal aliens during a targeted operation focusing on a person with a 2020 DWI conviction—one was Honduran while the others were Ecuadorian.

Former NDSU president Jim Ozbun, who held leadership roles at Cornell, Minnesota, Kansas State and Washington State before retiring in 1995 to run his cattle ranch in western North Dakota, died at age 88 — his legacy lives on through the Ozbun Endowed Chair of Entrepreneurship at NDSU.
