- ➤ For its tenth anniversary, Matthew Krueger and his family built a 121-acre Valley Corn Maze near East Grand Forks that they believe is the world’s largest standing corn maze—covering more than 91 football fields, designed with John Deere technology despite the high cost of official Guinness verification. ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ On August 7th at 9 a.m., a Grand Forks woman died on County Road 17 in Polk County when her SUV collided with a Peterbilt semi—27-year-old Tyler James Shaver was taken to Altura Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and authorities will release her name at noon today. Valley News Live

- ➤ A man from Minot was taken into custody on August 5 after allegedly assaulting hospital staff at Altru Behavioral Health in Grand Forks. Gilbert Houle is charged with simple assault (he threw a box of crayons and punched a nurse during a dispute) and remains at Grand Forks County Jail. Valley News Live
