- ➤ According to the National Weather Service, an EF-1 tornado touched down on the south side of Grand Forks Friday morning+ four tornadoes were confirmed in the area, with no injuries reported in Grand Forks and one person injured near Manvel. Knox News Radio
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The NDPSC joined regulators from Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Montana to file a complaint with FERC—challenging MISO's metrics used for its long-range transmission planning projects valued at nearly $22 billion and arguing that inflated benefit estimates will raise customer bills. Commission Chair Randy Christmann said the action will protect utility customers from unjust cost increases. Knox News Radio
- ➤ McKenzie County landowners who lost part of their property to eminent domain are asking the U.S. Supreme Court to allow attorney fees in addition to the property’s value—arguing that North Dakota law should cover the legal costs while WBI Energy claims federal law does not require such fees for public natural gas development. - ➤ Terri Mollman-Larson was named NDHFA's new home ownership division director after 8 years as a servicing coordinator managing over 13,000 borrowers. NDHFA Executive Director Brandon Dettlaff said she guided her team through pandemic challenges—her appointment will help first-time buyers become successful homeowners. Knox News Radio
