The Engelstad Foundation supports Grand Forks resident Tyler Wilson, a UND alum, who is pursuing ownership of three trademarks linked to the former Fighting Sioux identity; UND said it makes careful decisions on its official marks to serve the community.
Midwest Shrine Association continues its 95th Annual Summer Session in Grand Forks with competitions at the Alerus Center and Fairgrounds.
A Chanter Program ran Friday at United Lutheran Church, and the session wraps up at 10 a.m. today with a Shrine Parade downtown.

Altru Health System has named Heather Strandell as its new chief operating officer, effective Sept.
7, and she will oversee inpatient and outpatient operations. Strandell brings 30 years of experience and previously led the North Region Health Alliance.
