Deeks Pizza is hosting a back to school fundraiser all week, accepting gift card purchases until Aug.
31 and donations via Venmo (search @DeeksPizza) to support local schools. Purchasers enter a raffle to win an autographed jersey from UND defenseman E. J. Emery at 512 North Washington Street.
🎓 Education
On Monday, the Grand Forks School Board heard a presentation about the Encore program, which offers afterschool opportunities at 10+ elementary schools and reached 734 students last year.
The board plans to spend $215,000+ from its general fund to maintain the program.
🏈 Sports
On Tuesday, Central lost 2-0 to Fargo North and Red River drew 3-3 with West Fargo, earning their first point in EDC play.
Red River plays today at Horace while Central will host Fargo Shanley in an upcoming match.
