He outscored 424 competitors and earned the Bendix Grand Champion Award while driving daily loads between Fargo and Belfield—logging over 3.1 million accident‐free miles in 28.5 years. - ➤ On August 25, the Grand Forks Police Department conducted alcohol compliance checks—23 businesses were inspected as local youths, under police supervision, attempted to buy alcohol and Denny's Tavern failed the test. Knox News Radio

- ➤ The GOP in Grand Forks has a 21-day period to choose a new District 42 state representative after Emily O’Brien resigned to take a state job. Local district organizations will select her replacement under state law — the process begins immediately. Knox News Radio

- ➤ The Cities of Grand Forks and East Grand Forks will spray for mosquitoes today between 8:00 p.m. and 12:00 a.m. after West Nile virus was detected in the area—residents are urged to protect themselves by using DEET, limiting outdoor activities at dusk, and removing standing water.
