  • Grand Forks police arrested Kailon Graywater after he threatened to kill and shoot officers and drown them in motor oil last week — he engaged in a fist fight when officers arrived before he was taken to the correctional center.  Knox News Radio

  • A North Dakota legislative committee chose Nucleon Energy to plan the state's nuclear power project over the next 12 months. The company will study possible sites, public support, and federal licensing—steps that may shape the future of nuclear energy.  Knox News Radio

SPORTS NEWS

  • Grand Forks Central improved to 2-0 by defeating Jamestown 39-7 on Friday night as Anton Perales scored two rushing touchdowns and Zade Martin returned an interception 85 yards (adding to key plays by Naz Fisher and Trey Clauson). Red River edged St. Mary’s 14-13 after a missed extra point, and East Grand Forks fell by inches in a 14-7 loss to Perham over the Greenwave.  Knox News Radio
  • The Roughriders girls golf team has finished second in five meets this season—chasing West Fargo Sheyenne—and recorded a team score of 320 at their last home meet at Kings Walk. They will face Rose Creek in Fargo on Wednesday.  Knox News Radio
  • On Friday at 7:00 p.m., Grand Forks Central will face Grand Forks Red River in a cross-town volleyball match. The Red River spotlight is on senior outside hitter Lizzy Kunz—who began playing volleyball later after her early hockey days— and she enjoys lake surfing in her free time.  Knox News Radio
