- ➤ A North Dakota judge rejected Energy Transfer’s request to pause a free speech lawsuit filed overseas by Greenpeace International—Greenpeace said the case follows claims of conspiracy and defamation linked to pipeline protests. The decision means that Greenpeace’s counter-suit under an EU directive and Energy Transfer’s pending case will continue. Knox News Radio
- ➤ North Dakota is still waiting for a federal disaster relief response after Gov. Kelly Armstrong requested help on July 21 for tornado damage that hit on June 20-21. The Emergency Commission has authorized spending $16 million from FEMA and $2 million in state funds—pending presidential approval—and emergency management director Darin Hanson expects an answer by early October.
