- ➤ The Northern Occupational Safety and Health Association of Grand Forks will host a free Fall Safety Conference at the Alerus Center on September 24—open to employers from North Dakota and Minnesota. Drew Moldenhauer of Ethos Specialized Training, who has over 17 years of law enforcement experience, will deliver training on key safety topics. Knox News Radio
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Emily Dawes at Lake Agassiz Elementary— a literacy specialist in the Grand Forks District— is one of four finalists for North Dakota Teacher of the Year and will see the winner named on September 26th in Bismarck. Knox News Radio
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Dustin McNally was chosen by 37 District 42 GOP members to fill the vacant state House seat—left open when former representative Emily O’Brien took a state job. The appointment at the Alerus Center required two rounds of voting—McNally received 20 votes in the final round and will serve on an interim basis until next year’s election. Knox News Radio
