The Grand Forks Senior Center needs volunteers for its Meals on Wheels program—more seniors are enrolling and boosting the demand for delivery drivers.
Volunteers may sign up individually, as a business or organization to help deliver meals along pre-planned routes.
🎓 Education
The University of North Dakota's UND LEADS Strategic Plan emphasized advising and mentoring to help students learn outside the classroom—academic advisors work closely with learners to offer guidance and support.
UND encourages students to use campus resources for continuous growth.
🏛️ Government
North Dakota now offers a mobile ID option that works like a credit card in your mobile wallet and is available at five airports including Fargo and Grand Forks, and it supports Apple, Google, and Samsung Wallets for a $5 renewal fee.
Officials said law enforcement is not yet accepting the mobile ID—so drivers should continue to carry their physical licenses during the transition period.

Former UND star Matt Waletzko signed with the Minnesota Vikings Tuesday night at their headquarters in England, joining the team as four offensive linemen were injured ahead of Sunday's game at 8:30 a.m. CT in London.
The 25-year-old Cold Spring native, a fifth round pick by the Dallas Cowboys who played 11 NFL games over three seasons, is the first North Dakota player drafted since 2017 — a local milestone.
Kindred High School junior Brooks Bakko, a four-star recruit, has received 15 college offers (from schools like Michigan and Duke) and has not committed yet.
Coach Eric Burgad said he values Bakko’s strong work ethic (a key asset for the Kindred Vikings) as he improves each day.
