Nearly $20 million in federal funds will repair the runway at Grand Forks Air Force Base using money for materials + planning, travel, labor and equipment.
The work is set to finish by September next year.
The North Dakota Public Service Commission has scheduled public hearings on October 13 at noon and 6 p.m. — held in Bismarck, Grand Forks at 202 North 3rd Street #100, Fargo, and Minot — to gather input on a proposed Xcel Energy rate increase.
The proposed change — if approved by the Commission — would raise rates by 19.3% and affect all retail electric customers.
The North Dakota Public Service Commission will hold a public input session Monday, October 13 at the Chamber Board Room on 202 North Street in Grand Forks — participants can provide comments in person or by telephone about the proposed Xcel Energy rate increase.
Gov. Kelly Armstrong + Lt. Gov. Michelle Strinden and state agency representatives met with leaders of the MHA Nation including Chairman Mark Fox to talk about challenges and opportunities for building state-tribal partnerships; the daylong meeting was part of the governor’s promise to visit all five tribal nations in his first year in office.
