  • A Vietnam veteran in Grand Forks had a free new furnace and air conditioning system installed last Friday after his daughter nominated him for the Lennox Feel the Love program. Contractors from C.L. Linfoot Company said the work normally costs thousands+ they installed it to honor his service and support his family.  Valley News Live

  • Steve Ost, an Adrian resident, returned home after a race from Aberdeen and filmed his three dogs cornering a coyote in his open garage at 12:30 a.m.—he later used his .22 rifle to kill the animal while one dog was scratched.  Valley News Live

  • Bank of North Dakota announced it will create Roughrider coin—a new stablecoin tied to the U.S. dollar—to allow banks to make near instant money transfers. Bankers, state officials, and an academic observer remain cautiously optimistic about its potential.  Knox News Radio

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The Spirit Lake Tribe marked the fifth anniversary of Savanna’s Act—a law signed on October 10, 2020 that was prompted by Savanna LaFontaine-Greywind’s death in 2017. Tribal leaders say the law has helped save lives by assisting in the search for five missing members who did not meet state alert criteria.  Valley News Live
