The CPKC Holiday Train will make eight stops this December across the region to offer free shows with holiday lights and music—stops include Hankinson, Enderlin, Carrington, Alexandria, Detroit Lakes, Mahnomen, Plummer, and Thief River Falls where performers Lanco and Tiera Kennedy will appear and donations are encouraged.
The Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary will hold their Annual Turkey Bingos on November 6, 13, and 20 at 7:00 PM (each card costs $2 for 15 Games) at the Grand Forks County Office building’s 6th floor.
Funds raised will support projects for disabled veterans (and their families).
John D. Odegard, the visionary founder behind UND’s School of Aerospace Sciences, has been selected for induction into the National Aviation Hall of Fame in Dayton—making him the second North Dakota aviator honored after UND alumnus Carl Ben Eielson in 1985.
He started the college in 1968 with two aircraft and later expanded it to include over 2,000 students and 500 staff with one of the largest civilian fleets in North America.
Altru Health System appointed Hector Campbell, MD to its board in October; he is known for pioneering TMR surgery for amputees and said he will bring a patient-first view to local healthcare + serving both patients and providers.
This move aims to strengthen care in the region.
