- ➤ Gov. Armstrong has named Levi Bachmeier as the new state superintendent of public instruction — he will begin when current superintendent Kirsten Baesler resigns following her U.S. Department of Education confirmation — and he is set to serve until the November 2026 general election. Bachmeier is a West Fargo native who has managed school finances since 2019 and also coaches track. Valley News Live
