Kelly Armstrong has appointed Levi Bachmeier from West Fargo School District as the state superintendent of public instruction; he will take charge after former superintendent Kirsten Baesler becomes a U.S. Department of Education assistant secretary — Bachmeier has served as business manager since 2019 and advised Gov.
