  • The Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary will host its Annual Turkey Bingos at 7:00 p.m. on November 6, 13, and 20 on the 6th floor of the Grand Forks County Office building — cards cost $2.00 per 15 games and proceeds go to support projects for disabled veterans and their families.  Knox News Radio

  • North Dakota turned 136 on Nov. 2 when President Benjamin Harrison approved its entry as the 39th state—railroads helped build towns and lower freight rates for farmers even as the state faced hard times during the Great Depression, later modernizing through federal programs and wartime growth.  Valley News Live

HEALTH NEWS

  • Grand Forks became the first city in North Dakota to earn certified Blue Zones Community status, recognizing improvements in the Near North Neighborhood well-being through the Blue Zones Project—Blue Zones Project Grand Forks will host a celebration on Thursday, November 06th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Career Impact Academy on 4201 Career Drive with support from Altru Health System and the ND Department of Health and Human Services.  Knox News Radio
