- ➤ White Earth Nation held a ribbon cutting on Tuesday, April 28 for its new tribally owned cannabis dispensary, Waabigwan Mashkiki, at 926 Central Avenue Northwest in East Grand Forks, rehabbing a former Burger King to boost the local tax base with the grand opening set for Friday, May 1. - ➤ The Grand Forks School Board approved hiring two new assistant superintendents. Chris Triggs, coming from the Pingree-Buchanan School District, will lead elementary education while Kristopher Arason, formerly Red River High School’s principal, will oversee secondary education as their roles fill vacancies from recent resignations.
