The Northlands Rescue Mission food pantry in Grand Forks will temporarily close on August 8 due to nearly empty shelves caused by funding cuts and supply chain issues.

The Mission will continue serving hot meals and stockpiling supplies—while families temporarily lose access to their monthly food boxes—until the pantry reopens.

The organization urged local residents to donate nonperishable food and money—most needed items are rice, pasta, and canned goods—to help stockpile supplies and reopen the pantry.
